Join us for an enlightening and interactive symposium focused on postoperative complications in colorectal surgery. This symposium aims to deepen our understanding of the various complications that can occur, their management strategies, and the latest advancements in this rapidly evolving field. Attendees will gain valuable insights, evidence-based practices, and practical solutions to optimize patient outcomes and improve the overall management of postoperative complications in colorectal surgery.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Recognize early detection of anastomotic leaks, the risk factors, and how the emerging techniques in management and detection work.
  • Describe the advantages of early detection and the risk factors for enterocutaneous fistula and open abdomens.
  • Explain the risk factors of stoma complications, how to recognize and manage complications, wound care strategies, and reoperative strategies (if and when needed).
