Due to our expertise in the alimentary tract, and our comfort with complex surgical anatomy, colorectal surgeons often receive urgent calls from other surgeons to assist them with unanticipated intraoperative difficulties. Calls come from other specialties as well as from our junior partners and can create minutes to hours of work depending on the details. This symposium will focus on routine and not-so-routine reasons we might get asked to step into another surgeon’s OR, and how to be a cordial, effective, and efficient consultant.
(Tips and Tricks, Conduct, Setting up the Case, How to be Effective and Efficient)
