he multidisciplinary management of colorectal cancer has improved outcomes leading to more survivors. Survivors have unique needs in dealing with the effects of colorectal cancer and its treatment. This symposium aims to review existing data on life after colorectal cancer and help surgeons translate such data into real-life clinical practice.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Identify ways to prepare patients for life after cancer therapy.
  • Appraise the presentation of Low Anterior Resection Syndrome in the setting of modern rectal cancer therapy.
  • Explain methods to manage various sequelae of colorectal cancer treatment.
