This symposium is devoted to difficult and often avoided topics in the care of pelvic floor disorders. We will discuss the Safety of mesh in the pelvis, how to manage chronic pelvic pain in patients, the value of Advanced Practice Providers (APP) in a pelvic floor center, and recurrent rectal prolapse. A case discussion panel will follow the presentations highlighting the learning points of these talks.
After attending this symposium, we hope you will be more aware of the rewards and downfalls of pelvic mesh placement, have an improved understanding of chronic pelvic pain, its possible sources, and possible treatment options, how to obtain approval to hire and effectively integrate an APP in a pelvic floor center, and how to manage recurrent rectal prolapse.
