Dr Dionigi did her surgical internship at NYPH Cornell Medical Center in New York, she then completed her general surgery residency at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Harvard Medical School in Boston. During this time, she also did a two-year translational research fellowship related to amniotic fluid-derived mesenchymal stem cells at Boston Children Hospital. She completed a colon and rectal surgery fellowship at the Salvati Fellowship Program at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson in New Jersey followed by two years as an advanced complex colorectal re-operative clinical associate at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio. Most recently, Dr Dionigi joined the Division of Colorectal Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital as Attending Surgeon and Assistant Professor of Surgery. Dr Dionigi has a special interest in minimally invasive procedures as well as reoperative surgery for complex colorectal conditions. Her research focus is currently on Early Onset Colon and Rectal Cancer. Dr. Dionigi is the author of several publications and is a recipient of awards related to research and educational endeavours
