Dr. Jacquelyn Turner is a Professor of Surgery and current Vice Chair of Surgical Education at Tulane University School of Medicine. A Houston, Texas native, Dr. Turner completed her undergraduate degree at Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans and her medical doctorate degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She completed her general surgery residency at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois, and her colorectal fellowship at the Grant Medical Center/The Ohio State University program in Columbus, Ohio. She practices out of Tulane Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana with a focus of improving the quality of healthcare especially among patients with colon and rectal disease as well as improving the quality of medical education.
