Sam Atallah, MD

Dr. Atallah graduated from UT-Houston's Colorectal Surgery Fellowship Program in 2007. He is currently Professor of Surgery at UCF – College of Medicine, Vice Chairman, Dept. of Colon & Rectal Surgery at AdventHealth, Orlando, as well as the Director of Colorectal Surgery at HCA Oviedo Medical Center. Dr. Atallah is credited for co-developing TAMIS, and for pioneering robotic transanal surgery. His interestes and expertise include digital surgery; notably developing stereotactic, image-guided navigation for rectal cancer surgery using state-of-the-art robotics and laparoscopy. Dr. Atallah is currently the ‘23-'24 Chair of the New Technology Committee for the American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS).
