Enrique Bujanda-Morun MD
Enrique Bujanda-Morun is one of two fellows, graduating in 2024, in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery/Advanced GI Surgery Fellowship at Advocate Health Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. He was born in Valencia, Venezuela. He received his medical education in Universidad de Carabobo Medical School in Valencia. He started General Surgery training at UIC Metropolitan Group Hospitals in Chicago as preliminary resident and finished training in General Surgery at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He went on to complete Surgical Critical Care Fellowship in Boston Medical Center. Dr Bujanda-Morun joined the staff of Northern Light Health A.R Gould Hospital in Presque Isle, ME as Attending General Surgeon.
His desire of furthering his career as a surgeon prompted him to pursue a profession specializing in Minimal Invasive Surgery. Throughout his young career, Dr. Bujanda-Morun had focused his time and effort to hone technical skills to provide high quality patient care. His clinical and research interests are varied and include benign colorectal pathology and its laparoscopy surgical treatment.
