Dr Lin Wenjie is an Associate Consultant at the Department of Colorectal Surgery, Singapore General Hospital.
Dr Lin attended medical school at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore graduating with honors and subsequently completed his residency training in General Surgery at Singapore General Hospital, where he was awarded the Outstanding Resident award in 2017 and 2018. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2019 and was awarded the gold medal as the top performing candidate for his fellowship examination.
He is actively involved in the education of undergraduates and residents, and is currently serving in the Education Committee as the Colorectal Lead for undergraduate education, and member of the PGY1 faculty. He also serves adjunct faculty for all 3 medical schools in Singapore.
Dr Lin has most recently been awarded the Singhealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute Fellows Programme award to read Masters in Public Health at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore and has a keen interest in equity of healthcare delivery.
He is currently a visiting fellow at St Paul's Hospital, Vancouver, BC, with a focus on transanal total mesorectal excision, management of rectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease.
In his free time he enjoys the outdoors with his wife and 2 daughters aged 4 and 2.
