Dr Amrish Rajkomar is a colorectal surgery research fellow at Epworth Healthcare and also works at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia. Dr Rajkomar graduated medical school in 2007 at the University of Melbourne, and did his surgical training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He is the recipient of the 2020 Australian Medical Leaders doctor of the year award. Dr Rajkomar has performed more than 1000 robotic surgeries, and is actively involved in teaching robotic surgery in both the operating theatre and in wet lab sessions in Australia. He has presented his novel work in robotic beyond TME and pelvic sidewall resection both locally and internationally, and has over 40 peer reviewed publications, and in conjuction with A/Prof Satish Warrier, has worked at pushing the boundaries in the robotic exenteration field.
