Laura Newton, M.D., is a General Surgery resident at Dartmouth Health in New Hampshire. She is currently between her third and fourth years on dedicated research time, completing a Veterans Affairs fellowship in quality and safety. Raised in Nebraska, she attended medical school there at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Research interests include outcomes research, quality improvement, and social determinants of health. She enjoys ultra-running, skiing, gardening, hiking, and baking.
