David Larson, MD, MBA, FACS, FASCRS David Larson, MD, MBA, FACS, FASCRS received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine and completed his residency and clinical fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He serves as Enterprise Specialty Council Chair in Colorectal Surgery and served as chair of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery for 8 years ending in 2021. He holds the academic rank of Professor of Surgery with ongoing collaborative Ro1 funding. His institutional service includes chairing Practice Optimization and Acceleration (POA) and Medical Director of Mayo Center for Digital Health portfolio. In addition, Dr. Larson earned his MBA with emphasis in healthcare in 2011. Dr. Larson’s clinical practice and research interests focus on colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, perioperative care, and robotic surgery.
