I am MD Alejandro Diaz Gonzalez Colmenero general surgery resident in Hospital Jose Eleuterio Gonzalez in Monterrey, Mexico. I am passionate about colorectal surgery, cancer, and clinical research. My goal is to become a scientific surgeon treating colorectal cancer using minimal-invasive techniques. I believe that we can make a difference for our patients by committing to treat them using evidence-based procedures and considering their values and preferences. Since I started med school I have made an effort to learn research methods to contribute to the making of knowledge for our profession. I love surgery and it is a great privilege the opportunity to scrub in the OR and receive patient confidence.
