My name is Dr. Katherine Lam, M.D., a general surgery resident at Westchester Medical Center. I'm interested in research on colorectal diseases and surgical techniques in colorectal surgery. I think colorectal is the coolest surgical field. It deals with inflammatory bowel diseases, fistula, hemorrhoids, to colon/rectal/anal cancer. It is also extremely rewarding to help patients with various different problems. My interests outside of work are mostly outdoor activities. I enjoy hiking, climbing and skiing.
