Dr. Pastrana Del Valle obtained a B.A. Degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico. Following this, he furthered his education by earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Ponce School of Medicine & Health Science, in Ponce Puerto Rico in 2015. Dr. Pastrana Del Valle completed his General Surgery Residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts finishing his chief year in 2023. Throughout his residency, he immersed himself in Surgical Oncology research, where he served as a Research Fellow at VA Boston Healthcare System, Dana Farber Cancer Center, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital were his research focused on Colon Cancer Immunology and Clinical outcomes, with a special emphasis on addressing health disparities. Currently, Dr. Pastrana Del Valle is pursuing advanced specialization in Colon and Rectum Surgery through a Fellowship at the University of South Florida.
