Alexis Desir, MD

Alexis Desir is a PGY5 general surgery resident at UT Southwestern, currently completing her second year of dedicated research in the Artificial Intelligence and Medical Simulation (AIMS) lab under Dr. Ganesh Sankaranarayanan. She has several publications and national presentations focused on leveraging AIMS to enhance surgical education. Her academic goal is to develop technical proficiency exams for general surgery residents to streamline learning, standardize education nationally, and elevate the baseline standard of surgical patient care.
