Sharon Luster Dykes, MD, FACS, FASCRS is a colon and rectal surgeon, who began her solo, independent surgical practice in 2010. She has practiced surgery in the Twin Cities of Minnesota since 2003. Dr. Dykes received her Bachelor’s Degree as well as her Medical Degree from Brown University in Providence, RI, in 1988 and 1991, respectively. She pursued and completed her General Surgery Residency and subsequent Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at the University of Minnesota. She has dual board certification in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery. She currently serves as a Senior Oral Examiner and an Associate Written Examination Committee member for the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. She currently serves on several committees for the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, including the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and is Vice-Chairman for the Self-Assessment Committee. She is a passionate advocate for colorectal cancer screening and has participated annually in the Minnesota Department of Health’s SAGE Scopes Program, which offers free screening colonoscopies for the uninsured.
