Thomas Sorrentino, MD, is a general surgery resident and current Surgical Innovations Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco. His professional interests include colorectal surgery and medical device development. He is Head of Clinical Development at Diatiro, a venture-backed UCSF+Stanford spin-out company focused on improving outcomes and expanding access to care in organ transplant. He serves as a consultant and investigator for a number of medical device startups in the Bay Area. Dr. Sorrentino completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Yale and received his MD from UCSF.
