I am Steven Deng a medical student at the University of Utah interested in general surgery. In particular, I want to focus on patient identified goals for recovery and how communication in both preoperative settings and postoperative courses can best be aligned with these patient identified goals. I want to learn and incorporate different communication methods to help navigate patient expectations for surgery.
