Miriam Khalil (BSc Hons) is a final year Medicine and Surgery MBChB student at The University of Leeds, United Kingdom, having graduated with a Biology degree in 2019.
She will be graduating from Medicine in July 2024 and displays a keen interest in pursuing a career in colorectal surgery, having already conducted multiple research projects in the field. Miriam is enthusiastic about developing improved working models for surgeons and using her undergraduate knowledge in genetics towards research regarding hereditary colorectal cancer syndromes.
Alongside her studies, Miriam works as a Clinical Excellence Associate for Inovus Medical. She has founded The General Surgical Society at The University of Leeds, delivering an international collaberative teaching series, and enjoys playing field hockey and baking in her free time.
