My name is Jinman Cai (MD). I am currently a third year general surgery resident at Carilion Clinic, Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Since high school, I have developed an early passion for medicine, which eventually led me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry at University of Virginia. My thirst for knowledge and commitment to excellence propelled me to achieve my Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. I believe research and patient care are cornerstones to a successfully medical career. Since medical school, I have actively participated and initiated different research projects in order to broden my understanding of medical knowledge. In the clinical setting, my commitment to patient care is evident in my empathetic approach and personalized treatment plans. I take the time to listen to patients, ensuring that their concerns are not only addressed but also integrated into their overall healthcare journey. This patient-centric philosophy has earned me the trust and gratitude of those under my care.
