Molly Leonard, MD is a rising chief surgical resident at the University of Utah who will be applying to colorectal surgery fellowship this upcoming year. Her research interests focus on improving surgical care for older colorectal surgery patients. Throughout her residency she has spearheaded multiple clinical efforts to improve quality for colorectal patients including integrating geriatricians into the postoperative patient care team, implementing targeted measures to improve surgical site infections and the creation of a same day discharge pathway for select colectomy patients.
