Dr. Nir Horesh is a General and Colorectal Surgeon, currently serving as a clinical fellow at Cleveland Clinic Florida, Weston, FL, USA. He graduated Cum Laude from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, The University of Bologna, Italy, and completed his MD thesis at The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Edith Wolfson medical center, Holon, Israel.
Dr. Horesh has served in various prestigious institutions, including the Sheba Medical Center, Ramat Gan, Israel, where he was an Attending Surgeon and a General Surgery Resident at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, USA. He also served as a Visiting Scientist at the Department of Immunology, Elinav Lab, Weizmann institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel.
Currently, He is serving as a Research Committee Member for the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP), He is an ex Board Member of the Scientific Committee of the Israeli Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery and serveed as a General Surgery Boards examiner for the Israeli Surgical Association. He also holds the position of Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University.
Dr. Horesh has been recognized with several awards and distinctions, including the Excellence Merit Award at the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress 2022. He is fluent in multiple languages, including Hebrew, English, Italian and Spanish.
He has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and international presentations, focusing on areas such as colon and rectal surgery, diverticulitis, and colorectal diseases. He serves as a reviewer for major peer review journals including Lancet Gastroenetrology, British Journal of Surgery, Diseases of Colon and rectum and many more, and is a member of the editorial board for several other journals, including Frontiers in Surgery Journal and the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery.
