Mak (Makena) Pook is a PhD Candidate studying at McGill University in the Department of Surgical and Interventional Sciences. Mak graduated from McMaster University in 2019 with an Honours degree in Health Sciences (BHSc). Currently, they are a member of the Perioperative Centre for Outcomes Research (PCOR) Lab, which is led by Assistant Professor Dr. Julio Fiore. Mak's research interests include postoperative pain and opioid prescribing, with a focus on clinical trials, knowledge syntheses, and qualitative research methods.
