I am Joyce Te, currently in my fourth year of surgical residency at China Medical University in Taichung, Taiwan, where I am specializing in colorectal surgery. My journey in medicine is driven by a deep-seated commitment to patient care and a desire to contribute meaningfully to the field of surgery, particularly in colorectal health.
Throughout my residency, I have had the privilege of learning a wide range of surgical techniques and patient care practices. This experience has been both challenging and enriching, allowing me to grow professionally and personally. My interest in colorectal surgery stems from a genuine desire to improve patient outcomes and understand the intricate aspects of this specialty.
In addition to my clinical pursuits, I have been fortunate to delve into the intersection of surgery and technology, with a specific focus on medical artificial intelligence. This exploration is not just a professional interest but a personal passion, as I believe that integrating AI into healthcare can significantly enhance surgical precision and diagnostic processes, ultimately benefiting patient care.
I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to advancements in both colorectal surgery and AI in healthcare. My goal is to merge these areas of interest to bring about positive changes in patient care and surgical outcomes. As I continue my journey in this ever-evolving field, I remain committed to learning, innovating, and collaborating with peers and mentors.
I approach the future with a sense of humility and determination, understanding that the path to excellence in medicine is a lifelong pursuit. I am eager to share my experiences and learn from others in the field, always with the aim of bettering patient care and advancing medical practice.
