The management of anal dysplasia is a rapidly evolving domain. This symposium is designed to bring practicing colorectal surgeons up to date with the latest literature and evidence. Experts participating in this symposium will discuss outcomes of the Anal Cancer/HSIL Outcomes Research (ANCHOR) trial, will explain cytology and pathology terminology relating to anal dysplasia, and will review difficult case studies to highlight important aspects of anal dysplasia screening.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Explain the ANCHOR trial and describe the importance of treating anal high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions.
Recognize cytology and pathology terminology related to anal dysplasia.
Demonstrate how experienced anoscopists perform high resolution anoscopy and manage patients with anal dysplasia.
